Jackie's Little Kitchen: Balsamic Soy Glazed Brussels Sprouts
Here's one of my sister's signature BALSAMIC SOY GLAZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS mixed with her BASIL-SUNDRIED TOMATOES & PARMESAN QUINOA.
Remember, brussels sprouts are very nutritious. It helps in detox and in boosting the immune system. It is very rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, folate and fiber. Plus, it helps you have a good skin! Try this recipe to get the right nutrients while satisfying your taste buds' cravings! ;-)
Workout in the Office: Chest Press
It's Day 5 of my Workout in the Office Series! Today, we're targetting the area between the breast and armpit. Follow me!
Step 1. Clasp your arms together.
Step 2: Push further by pressing both palms against each other. You should feel the contraction between the armpits and your breast. Release and repeat 10-15 times.
Workout in the Office: Alternate Leg Lifts
Time to firm your LEGS and BUTT! Follow these simple steps:
Step 1. Stand straight while holding on to a chair for support. Place your feet shoulder-length apart.
Step 2. Bend the right leg backward and create a 90-degree angle.
3. Bend the left leg backward and create a 90-degree angle. Repeat 30 times or more.

Workout in the Office: Triceps Dip
Tone up one of the most common problem areas-- TRICEPS! Do at least three sets of 15 during breaks and you'll surely get rid of hanging arm fat.
Step 1: Sit on a chair and grip the edge of the seat with your arms bent behind you. Make sure that your back is straight and your palms are facing downward.
Step 2: Slowly extend your arms straight while moving your body forward. You must feel the stretch on your triceps. Do three sets of 15 or more.

Workout in the Office: Standing Wall Push-Ups
If you've missed Part 1 of my Workout in the Office series, you can check out my first exercise, Standing Oblique Crunch.
My next workout is the Standing Wall Push-Ups, an easy exercise you can do during office breaks.
Stand in front of a wall or a post. Straighten your arms while your hands are flat on the wall at shoulder height and shoulder-width apart.
Step 2: Inhale, drop your body and lean towards the wall.
Step 3: Exhale and push back your body to your original position. Repeat 10 times or more if you can.
Do three more sets to target your arms, triceps and chest. Enjoy my Dyanfit Workout of the day!
Miss Universe 2013
This year, Miss Universe was held in Russia for the very first time. The venue was the beautiful Crocus City Hall.
Days before the pageant night, all contestants were busy in rehearsals:
Hands down to these ladies! They work so hard day and night to perfect their smiles, walk and pose.
A much-awaited event was the National Costume parade inside the Vegas Mall. Contestants strutted their unique national costumes.
Our very own Ara Arida was supported by tons of Pinoy fans!
Before the opening of the pageant night, the red carpet was flocked by different stars including Aerosmith’s front man Steven Tyler, the youngest Olympic Gold medalist in figure skating--- Tara Lipinski, judge supermodel Anne V, judge supermodel Carol Alt, emcee Thomas Roberts, Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo from USA, Melanie Brown from Spice Girls and Hollywood celebrity host Jeannie Mai wearing a Michael Cinco gown.
Miss Philippines Ariella Arida was among the early favorites so it wasn't surprising when she was called in the Top 5. My favorite part was when Ara wore her yellow gown with such poise and charm.
The Crocus City Hall was full of supporters from different countries but Ara was one of the favorites!
Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler was crowned Miss Universe 2013:
Although Ariella Arida failed to bring home the Miss Universe crown, we, Pinoys, are so proud of her! Her mom, sister and fans welcomed her with tears of joy. We're proud of you, Ara!
It was a dream come true for me when my family and I flew to Shanghai to watch the Shanghai Rolex Masters 2013. I was so excited to watch my fave tennis players play like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, David Ferrer and Juan Martin del Potro.
The stadium was so cool! It was so big and packed! Tickets to the ATP World Tour were sold out!
From practice to the main match, fans like me were so excited to catch a glimpse of our idols!
I didn't really expect to see the big names of tennis up-close. I was so happy and ecstatic when I got the chance to have a picture with my all-time fave Rafa Nadal!!!
I also got a pic with Novak Djokovic! YAAAAAAY!!!!!!
We also supported Filipino Treat Huey and his partner Dominic Inglot , who competed in the doubles event.
Now I can't wait to watch more tennis tournaments in the future ;-)
Italianni's Sicilian Salad
Here's my latest food addiction in Italianni's Tomas Morato-- Sicilian Salad!
It's not only nutritious, but it's very delicious too. The salad romaine is topped with grapes, mangoes, chicken breast, tomatoes, nuts and croutons.
